"เล่มแรกในฝัน...ที่ฉันเลือกเอง" คืออะไร?
โครงการ “เล่มแรกในฝัน ที่ฉันเลือกเอง” เป็นโครงการที่เริ่มขึ้นจากการค้นหาว่าเราอยากผสมผสานสิ่งที่ตนเองชอบ และรักที่จะทำ เพื่อสร้างสรรค์เป็นกิจกรรมระยะยาว ที่ต่อยอดสู่ชุมชนในวงกว้างได้อย่างไร โดยเราเลือกที่จะสร้างประโยชน์ให้เยาวชนที่ขาดโอกาสในการเพาะบ่มนิสัยรักการอ่าน โดยการมอบโอกาสให้เยาวชนเป็นเจ้าของหนังสือใหม่ที่เยาวชนได้เลือกเอง ซึ่งเราเชื่อว่าการที่เยาวชนได้เลือกหนังสือเล่มโปรดของตนเอง ให้ผลลัพธ์ต่อยอดและแตกต่างจากการรับบริจาคหนังสือเก่า หรือการอ่านหนังสือในห้องสมุดชุมชน นอกเหนือจากการอ่านหนังสือทั่วไปแล้ว การเป็นเจ้าของหนังสือที่ชอบทำให้เยาวชนอ่านวิเคราะห์ซ้ำได้หลายครั้งและช่วยเพาะบ่มนิสัยรักการอ่านในระยะยาว นิสัยรักการอ่านเป็นประตูสู่โลกกว้างและเสริมสร้างการเรียนรู้แบบยั่งยืน
วิสัยทัศน์โครงการ
ต้องการให้เยาวชนไทยปีละ 1,000 คน ที่ไม่เคยมีหนังสือใหม่ที่ตนเองเลือกเองมาก่อนได้มีโอกาสเป็นเจ้าของหนังสือใหม่เอี่ยมที่เลือกเองเล่มแรกในชีวิต
กลุ่มเป้าหมาย
เยาวชนอายุ 6 - 16 ปีในอำเภออรัญประเทศ จังหวัดสระแก้ว ที่อยู่ในการดูแลของมูลนิธิศุภนิมิตรแห่งประเทศไทย
การดำเนินงาน
ทุกทุกหนึ่งเล่มของการจำหน่ายหนังสือ ตามใจคิด จะทำให้เยาวชนผู้ขาดแคลนหนึ่งคนได้รับโอกาสเลือกหนังสือเล่มโปรดที่ตนเองจะได้เป็นเจ้าของเล่มแรกในชีวิต

About My First Book Project
My First Book Project was initiated by the team who are inquiring into how could we blend our passions to create a long term project for social cause. We would like to impact needy youth who may not have much opportunity to date to cultivate the love of reading. We would like to give them an opportunity to own their first book of their choices. We believe that this would multiply the impact and is different from the usual access to books via old book donation or via community library. Apart from generally reading books, owning their own favorite books would allow youth to endlessly read, analyze and learn from the book. This will cultivate the love of reading, open doors of opportunities and enhance life-long learning.
Project's Vision
To give opportunity for 1,000 Thai youths, who never own any books before, to own brand new book of their choices.
Target Group
6-16 year old youths in Aranyapradesh District, Sra-Kaew Province. These youths are under World Vision Foundation of Thailand’s care.
